Work/Life Balance Wins the Day

work life balance

For those of you that know me, I’m a “glass half-full” kinda guy. The word “no” does not exist in my vocabulary…it’s just an invite to find an alternative approach; and I’ve always looked for positives coming out of COVID, arguably the most destructive thing that’s happened to the world in recent history. I captured some of that sentiment in my Thanksgiving Blog Post: Surviving, Then Thriving – Ideba (idebamarketing.com)

So in the spirit of turning a negative into a positive going into 2021… we’re reducing expenses, reducing revenue targets, giving back in new ways through increased pro bono work, and focusing on better work/life balance for the team, including yours truly! This will mean working near exclusively with long-term clients we know and love; and who in-turn appreciate the value we deliver to them. We’ll be putting an increased emphasis on quality work and quality relationships, versus chasing the almighty dollar. I’m proud of the fact that despite financial pressures associated with COVID, we looked after employees better than ever in 2020, and also supported restaurant workers across the US and Canada directly impacted by the pandemic. Giving back will always be a part of who we are.

It’s refreshing to be able to step back, refocus the business, refocus personally, and to create an environment where the team can refocus based on their life priorities coming out of the pandemic.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on how you are using the pandemic to refocus, re-prioritize, and find more balance in your life. Feel free to drop me a line at: davids@idebamarketing.com
