From Uganda 2019 to 2020
One of the greatest things about working at Ideba is the chance we are given to give back and a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit and help support the kids and community at Mpondwe Lhubiriha Secondary School in Uganda.
During the week I worked on different ways for the school and community to become more self-sufficient. One of which was to install solar power to their chicken coop thus increasing light in order for the hens to lay more eggs.
Other Personal highlights for me included drumming in the jungle and at the school with local rap sensation Tanga Tanga, stopping for a heard of elephants and troop of baboons crossing the road and watching African Fish Eagles swoop down from their perch.
But best of all were the connections I made with the group of great people I met there for whom being resourceful and thinking outside the box is just a way of life.
I look forward to seeing and working with this inspiring crew again next year for Uganda 2020, bring it on.
