Democracy Isn’t Keeping Up

Democracy depends on well-managed elections, but elections in the United States have not kept pace with the opportunities offered by technology. Indeed, many aspects of elections – registering voters and mapping polling stations – are readily accepted by technocrats. Voting and counting remains an outlier; error-proof ballots provide voters whose eligibility for a regular ballot cannot be immediately determined.

That means the hard work is on you. Make sure you are registered. Everything you need to know is found here: https://howto.vote/

Oh, and another thing. Five years after everything else has the feature, LinkedIn now has stories. In true LinkedIn fashion, luddites are welcome. The interface is straightforward, simple, and has the most annoying collection of digital stickers you can imagine. Their new tagline should be “Boomers welcome here.” Can’t wait to start using it!
