Ideba Marketing Inc. is pleased to announce that Michelle Clarke will be joining the company effective May 2, 2011 as an Account Coordinator for an initial four month internship.

The company has taken an innovative approach with Clarke, who is a second-year student at the UVic Peter B Gustavson School of Business, in hiring her on a paid basis for a total of three internships in 2011, 2012 and 2013, as part of UVic’s co-op program, and on a full-time basis as of September 1, 2013 upon her graduation.

In addition to the paid internships and the guarantee of full-time employment, the company will also make a contribution to Clarke’s tuition fees at UVic as a reward for her completion of the three internships.

Director of Client Services Erin Sullivan added, “As soon as we met Michelle we recognized her potential and the fit for Ideba and its clients. The opportunity to provide paid internships and help with Michelle’s tuition fees is right in-line with our commitment to education, and to the next generation of business leaders.”

Clarke will be working principally on local business in a client-facing role, out of the Victoria office.

Simple thought here….if an intern is making money for your company, why wouldn’t you pay them!?
